Achterland, filmed by Flemisch choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, is another manifestation of her interest in the differences between men and women. She focuses on the diversity and multiplicity regarding the concept of femininity. In Achterland, she uses for the first time musicians who not only perform live but also take part in the theatrical game. In her choreography, recurring characteristics of her work can be recognised: reference to earlier works, movement processed to the limit of endurance, repetition, fast running in a circle, the intense encounters of men and women in the second part.

Achterland, filmé par le chorégraphe flamand Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, est une nouvelle manifestation de son intérêt pour les différences entre hommes et femmes. Elle se concentre sur la diversité et la multiplicité du concept de la féminité. Dans Achterland, la chorégraphe fait appel pour la première fois à des musiciens qui, en plus de jouer en direct, prennent également part au jeu théâtral. Des caractéristiques récurrentes de son travail peuvent être observées dans sa chorégraphie: références à des travaux antérieurs, mouvements maintenus jusqu’à la limite de l’endurance, répétitions, courses en rond rapide, ainsi que les rencontres intenses entre hommes et femmes, dans la deuxième partie.
