Tom, an idealistic young left-wing journalist, is about to settle down with his girlfriend when his life and views get shaken up by the beautiful Pakistani refugee Nadia. At work, his ideals are increasingly confronted by the harsh reality of modern urban society while at home, his flamboyant grandfather fights his last personal battle - a battle for the right to die.
Tom, un jeune journaliste idéaliste de gauche, est prêt à s’installer avec sa copine lorsque sa vie et ses projets sont chamboulés par Nadia, la belle et jeune réfugiée pakistanaise. Au travail, ses idéaux se confrontent de plus en plus à la dure réalité de la société urbaine actuelle, alors que son grand-père extravagant mène son dernier combat personnel- un combat pour son droit de mourir. Cut Loose est un film drôle, sincère et émotionnel traitant de problèmes sérieux. Il s’agit de la première comédie à propos de l’euthanasie et de la perplexité de la société multiculturelle.
