By examining the singular destiny of Rudolf Elmer, the whistle-blowing Swiss banker, A Leak in Paradise sheds harsh light on an industry as powerful as it is descreet which weakens democracies and destroys Rousseau's social contract.

synopsis

Rudolf Elmer, the whistle-blowing Swiss banker who breached bank secrecy, revealed - via the press and WikiLeaks - the seedy secrets of a Cayman Islands bank. Since then, he has been followed, harassed, exiled and jailed, spending over six months in preventive detention. Through documents and testimony, Elmer plunges us into the secretive world of offshore banking, an industry worth $15 billion and whose driving role is tax evasion.
