NL - Op een bloedhete zomerdag zien de 11-jarige Kian en Nadir hoe de familie van Nadir wordt opgepakt door de vreemdelingenpolitie. Om te voorkomen dat Nadir ook wordt meegenomen, besluiten de vrienden om er samen vandoor te gaan. Maar vluchten blijkt minder makkelijk dan gedacht, zeker als blijkt dat Kian voor heel iets anders vlucht dan zijn vriend…

FR - Un jour d’été ensoleillé Kian et Nadir (11) voient la famille de Nadir se faire embarquer par la police de l’émigration. Pour éviter le même sort Nadir et Kian décident de s’enfuir. Le seul souci c’est que la fuite est plus rude que prévu, surtout quand on comprend que Kian fuit pour des raisons totalement différentes que son ami…

International take-off for Cloudboy at TIFF Kids

Cloudboy, Meikeminne Clinckspoor’s feature debut, is to receive its international première at this year’s TIFF Kids (7-23 April). The programme also contains Emiel Sandtke’s short Flying Rats, as well as two co-productions: The Day My Father Became a Bush and the animated feature Richard the Stork.

https://vimeo.com/200456500In Cloudboy, 12-year-old city boy Niilas has to travel - much against his will - to Lapland where his mother and her new family live amongst the Sami, an indigenous reindeer-herding people. A Belgian-Swedish-Norwegian-Dutch co-production, Cloudboy won last year’s Work-in-Progress Award at the inaugural edition of NeXT in Ghent.
