This low-budget film is a probing study of the relational weakness of the present-day generation. Veronique, a young woman, puts herself on show on the Internet 24 hours a day via 4 webcams positioned in her flat. She is in love with Alex, her older sister Eva's Friend.

synopsis

This low-budget film is a probing study of the relational weakness of the present-day generation. Veronique, a young woman, puts herself on show on the Internet 24 hours a day via 4 webcams positioned in her flat. She is in love with Alex, her older sister Eva's Friend. having been send away by Eva on account of one flirtation to many Alex finds shelter at Veronique's. She, however, has to go on a trip and leaves Alex alone in the flat. Willy-nilly Alex becomes the subject of the Internet spectacle, and that is not to the liking of Bernard, a dyed-in -the wool voyeur, who looks upon this strange man cavorting in front of the cameras as an intruder. Bernard's e-mail relationship with Veronique has bizarre sexual overtones. So he calls upon Alex to find out what's going on. In turn, Veronique now begins to spy on the two men, in her flat and she decides to go home earlier than expected. There now develops a remarkable triangle with the Internet as a go-between. The result is a film which, though tightly constructed, leaves the viewer a lot of room for interpretation.
Ce film à petit budget est une étude probatoire des faiblesses relationnelles des générations actuelles. Véronique, une jeune femme, s’exhibe sur Internet 24 heures sur 24 par le biais de quatre cameras positionnées dans son appartement. Elle est amoureuse d’Alex, l’ami de sa sœur aînée Eva. Après avoir été rejeté par Eva en raison d’un flirt de trop, Alex trouve du réconfort auprès de Véronique. Elle doit cependant partir en voyage, et laisse Alex seul dans son appartement. Fatalement, Alex devient l’objet du spectacle sur Internet, ce qui ne plait pas à Bernard, un voyeur invétéré, qui considère l’homme étranger s’exposant face aux caméras comme un intrus. La relation par e-mails entre Bernard et Véronique a des connotations sexuelles bizarres. Il réclame des explications à Alex. Véronique commence à son tour à espionner les deux hommes dans son appartement, et décide de retourner à la maison plus tôt que prévu. Un triangle remarquable se développe, avec Internet comme intermédiaire. Le résultat donne un film qui, bien que très bien construit, laisse au spectateur une vaste liberté d’interprétation.
