When her lover becomes terminally ill, Masha finds herself sidelined by his ex-wife and children.

synopsis

Thirty-seven-year-old Masha embarks on a love affair with Luuk, a recently-divorced father of two. Nothing seems to stand in their way until Luuk suddenly becomes terminally ill, leaving Masha without any real status when his ex-wife and children decide to look after him and reclaim him.
De 37-jarige Masha krijgt een liefdesrelatie met Luuk, vader van twee kinderen en net gescheiden. Niets lijkt hen in de weg te staan, totdat Luuk plots ongeneeslijk ziek is en Masha opeens ‘statusloos’ blijkt. De ex van Luuk en zijn kinderen willen ook voor hem zorgen en claimen hem. Een schrijnende liefde waarin alle verhoudingen opnieuw moeten worden onderzocht.
