synopsis

A slice of life about eight youngsters from vocational secondary colleges who actually look straight into your eyes. The film, whose scenario was created bit by bit by the protagonists themselves, presents a vital and refined picture of young adults who are in most cases labelled as yobs, bestowing on them a form of dignity which they do not usually receive from society.
Une tranche de vie de huit jeunes dans l’enseignement secondaire professionnel qui vous regardent droit dans les yeux. Right in the eye est plus un film qu’un documentaire. Particulièrement grâce au talent naturel des enfants et de la manière relaxée et très cinématographique avec laquelle les histoires sont enregistrées. Le scénario du film a été « écrit » petit à petit par les jeunes eux-mêmes. Right in the eye présente un portrait visuel et raffiné de jeunes issus de l’enseignement professionnel qui sont la plupart du temps catalogués comme des délinquants. Le film n’est pas agressif et ne cherche en aucun cas un effet sensationnel. Le film a un effet libérateur et procure aux jeunes adultes une forme de dignité qu’ils obtiennent difficilement dans la société actuelle.
