The hotel that used to be my favorite holiday spot, has now become a disconsolate place in the Ardens (Belgium). Freddy and Jeannine try to keep the hotel alive, but have to face the reality of time passing by. The documentary is a portrait of two old people in an old hotel, faced with decline. I, the hotel, the guests and themselves feel this situation as irreversible, with no high hope. A tale without an end.
L’hôtel qui était anciennement mon lieu de vacance favori est devenu une place abandonnée dans les Ardennes (Belgique). Freddy et Jeannine essaient d’assurer la survie de l’hôtel, mais doivent faire face à la réalité du temps qui passe. Ce documentaire est le portrait de deux vieilles personnes dans un vieil hôtel, confrontées au déclin. Les propriétaires, les clients de l’hôtel et moi-même sentons que la situation est irréversible et qu’il y a peu d’espoir. Une histoire sans fin.
