Dirty Mind strikes again

Pieter Van Hees’ Dirty Mind has been invited to the Funchal International Film Festival (10-17 April) in Madeira, Portugal. The film has already been selected for other international festivals, including Karlovy Vary and the Fantastic Fest in Texas.

After a series of remarkable shorts, van Hees started work on his feature trilogy, Anatomy of Love and Pain. The first part was Left Bank (2008), the second Dirty Mind. The third instalment will be The Wasteland, which is still in development with CCCP.

In Dirty Mind, shy Diego is struggling with low self-esteem until he has a serious accident and wakes up as Tony T, a totally uninhibited, smooth-talking stuntman. It's a typical case of Frontal Syndrome and an ideal case study for young and ambitious neurologist Jana. Everyone hopes that Diego will make a quick recovery. Well, everyone except Diego, that is.

Dirty Mind is a black comedy about love and neurological thoroughness. Sharing the major roles are Wim Helsen, Frank Focketyn, Peter Van den Begin, Kristine Van Pellicom, Sien Eggers and Adriaan Van Den Hoof.

The film’s producers are Bert Hamelinck, Kato Maes and Frank Van Passel for Brussels-based Caviar.
