Pieter Van Hees’s absurdist comedy series Generation B. has been selected for the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN), the South Korean festival for sci-fi, fantasy and horror which runs from 15-18 July.

GenBGeneration B. is a six-episode absurdist comedy series set during an unprecedented economic crisis. The story follows six young people trying to survive in the apocalyptic metropolis that is Brussels. The series was directed by Pieter Van Hees, known for films and series such as Waste Land, Left Bank, and Highway of Love. The script was written by Van Hees and Joost Vandecasteele, with leading roles for Jeroen Van der Ven, Ella-June Henrard, Efrat Galai, Eva Binon and Jeroen Perceval.

Generation B. premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2017, and was subsequently broadcast on Flemish television channel Canvas. The series was nominated for a Rockie Award for best Foreign Comedy at the Banff World Media Festival.
