Is Flanders Image a sales agency?
No, we’re not. Flanders Image is a promotional agency. If you’re interested in acquiring a title, we can put you in contact with the producer and/or sales agent.

What if I want to screen some of your films?
Besides supplying information, Flanders Image also handles requests to screen titles that are potentially of interest to you. Most recent titles are available via VOD. For this, we can provide you with an access code and further instructions. For titles not available on VOD there are two options. You can come and watch them in the screening room of the Flanders Film House in Brussels. Or we can try to arrange for a screener DVD to be sent to you. This DVD is intended for internal purposes only (so not for public viewing), and has to be returned after screening.Under no circumstances are you allowed to copy the materials and/or make them available on a server, regardless of whether this is for personal, internal or external use.

Is there any sales support I can get from Flanders Image for the films I represent as a sales agent?
Flanders Image will ensure that the Flemish films you represent are included in its promotional strategy. This includes increasing the visibility of our audiovisual creations at key festivals and markets. As a sales agent, it is therefore important to stay in touch with us so that we can include the Flemish titles you represent in our communication, bannering and advertising at festivals and markets. It is important that we get this information as early as possible, and that you also keep us informed about how sales are going. The more we know, the more effectively we can help you.

Furthermore, if a majority-Flemish-produced title is selected for a key festival (a list of which is available on the Flanders Audiovisual Fund website), its Flemish producer can apply for an additional €25,000* marketing support from the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF), the parent organisation of Flanders Image. In addition to this, there's also a travel grant for the director, producer, screenwriter and/or key cast members (up to three in total) of films selected for key tests.

Finally, for film sales support, we also refer to EFP ( which Flanders Image is a member of.

Is there any support available for the distribution abroad of Flemish films?
Yes, there's the Flanders Distribution Grant. Important to know is that it is a selective system, and that budgets are limited. The rules and regulations can be found here. However, the application must be done by the flemish (co-)producer. The info is thus only available in dutch.

Can we use the materials on your website?
All materials on this site that are offered as downloads can be used by the respective title’s sales agent and (foreign) distributor. The same goes for items in our (print and electronic) publications, on the condition that they clearly state the source/publication and its author.
