EN - The story of Sarah, a small girl of Moroccan descent who is taken by her father from a Belgian orphanage back to his family in Morocco, a country she knows nothing about and that she will have to make her own. From this moment on, Sarah’s struggle will be to choose the life she wants and not the life that has been chosen for her.

FR - Une petite fille marocaine est récupérée dans un orphelinat belge par son père pour la ramener dans sa famille au Maroc, un pays dont elle ignore tout qu'elle va pourtant devoir considérer comme le sien. Bullhead and Lena to compete in Les Arcs

Michaël R. Roskam’s Bullhead and Christophe Van Rompaey’s Lena are selected for Official Competition at the 3rd edition of the European Film Festival of Les Arcs, France (10-17 December). Also playing at the Fest's European Panorama is Hotel Swooni by Kaat Beels while the animated The Monster of Nix by Rosto is shown in the school programme.

Still from Christophe Van Rompaey's LenaA total of 12 features compete for the Crystal Arrow for Best Film awarded by the International Jury headed by Italian helmer Michele Placido. The prestigious Award comes with financial distribution support for the winning film in Europe and the rest of the world. Artistic director of les Arcs is Frédéric Boyer, who recently also got appointed as artistic director of the Tribeca Film Fest.

Strubbe’s Dream project at Les Arc Coproduction Village

I'm the same I'm an other, Caroline Strubbe’s highly anticipated follow-up to her feature debut, the Cannes Critic’s Week hit Lost Persons Area, is among the 22 projects selected to be pitched at this year’s Arc 1950 Coproduction Village. A part of the Les Arcs European Film Festival, the Coproduction Village takes place from 10-13 December.

I'm the same I'm an otherI'm the same I'm an other is produced by Tomas Leyers for Minds Meet in Brussels. The project received support from the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF). Another minority co-production with VAF support is Kadija Leclere's The Bag of Flour which is among seven films, currently in post-production, looking for distributors and/or sales agents, that also will be presented by their producers and directors in Les Arcs.
