Warre and Tine are a middle-aged childless couple. One day, they find a small creature that is half bird, half girl who they call Viegeltje and raise as a human. When winter comes, however, Viegeltje joins a flock of birds and flies south without saying goodbye. Warre and Tine take off in pursuit...
Warre et Tine forment un couple d’âge mûr sans enfant. Un jour, ils rencontrent une petite créature, mi-oiseau, mi-fille. Ils l’appellent Viegeltje. Warre et Tine ramène la petite créature à la maison et l’élèvent comme leur propre fille. Cependant, à l’arrivée de l’hiver, Viegeltje s’échappe, rejoint une nuée d’oiseaux et vole vers le Sud sans dire au revoir. Warre et Tine partent à sa recherche...
