synopsis

Alex unexpectedly finds herself at a crossroads when her mother abandons her father who has dementia. As she moves back in the parental house to look after him, she starts questioning her own life and marriage. Does she want to stay with her adulterous husband? Is she really happy with him, or should she, like her parents, drop the facade? Facades is a gripping drama about secrets, marital problems and childhood traumas.
Quand son père, atteint de démence, est abandonné par sa mère, Alex décide de revenir vivre dans la maison parentale. Là, elle commence à s’interroger sur sa propre vie et son mariage. Est-ce qu’elle a envie de rester avec un mari qui la trompe ? Est-elle vraiment heureuse avec lui ? Ou devrait-elle, comme ses parents, laisser tomber le masque ? Façades est un drame captivant sur les secrets de famille, les problèmes conjugaux et les traumatismes liés à l’enfance.
Alex staat onverwacht op een kantelpunt in haar leven wanneer haar dementerende vader in de steek gelaten wordt door haar moeder. De behulpzame Alex trekt bij hem in en stelt daardoor haar eigen leven en huwelijk in vraag. Wil ze bij haar ontrouwe man blijven of niet? Is ze wel echt gelukkig bij hem of moet ze, net als haar ouders, de façade laten vallen? Façades is een beklemmend drama over geheimen, huwelijksperikelen en jeugdtrauma’s.
