Nicolas Provost and screenwriting duo Gilles Coulier and Tom Dupont have been selected for Script&Pitch, an advanced script development course for writers and directors of feature films organised by the TorinoFilmLab.

Nicolas ProvostEvery year, a maximum of 12 projects are selected for the TorinoFilmLab Script&Pitch workshop. The Lab's workshop offers participants the opportunity to develop their screenplay under the supervision of internationally renowned experts. They subsequently get the chance to pitch the project to producers and sales agents during the final TorinoFilmLab Meeting Event.

This year, two Belgian projects have made it to the final selection. Video artist and filmmaker Nicolas Provost (The Invader) brings a story with the working title of Exodus. And Gilles Coulier and Tom Dupont have been selected with Cargo, a feature film project which they have jointly scripted. Coulier, whose short films Iceland and Mont Blanc were shown in Cannes, is currently finishing his fiction series Beaverville.

It is not the first time that filmmakers from Flanders have been selected for Script&Pitch. Last year, two Flemish projects were invited: Continental Drift by Peter Krüger; and Home by Fien Troch. The screenplay of Home, which Troch wrote with Nico Leunen, won the Arte International Prize during the TorinoFilmLab’s final Meeting Event last November.
