Wim Willaert and Missing Persons Unit nominated for Golden Pandas

Flemish actor Wim Willaert has been nominated for his role in the series Home Grown, and the sixth season of Missing Persons Unit is also nominated for a Golden Panda at the 13th edition of the Sichuan TV Festival in Chengdu (China, 6-8 November). Both series were co-produced by Eyeworks Film & TV Drama. The Missing, a co-production with Czar TV for Flanders, was also nominated twice.

Home GrownIn the category of Best Actor in a TV Drama, Willaert is up against Guy Pearce (Jack Irish Dead Point) and James Nesbitt for his role in the Flanders co-produced The Missing which was also nominated for Best Photography.

Best Photography for Cordon in Brazil

Flemish drama series Cordon has been awarded the prize for Best Photography at the first edition of Telas, the São Paulo International TV Festival, in Brazil (7-14 November). DOP of Cordon was Christophe Nuyens, who previously worked on series such as Deadline 14/10Deadline 25/5 and Code 37. In addition to Cordon, the festival also presented two other Eyeworks productions: Home Grown and De Ridder.

CordonCordon was shown as part of the Festival’s International Spectrum, presenting a range of fiction and documentary series from 16 countries, also including Eyeworks’s Home Grown, a tragicomic series about a dysfunctional family looking for solutions to their problems in unexpected places.
