When Henri employs Rosette to work in his restaurant, things change for both of them.

After his wife dies Henri, a man in his fifties of Italian origin, needs help in his restaurant, La Cantina, situated near the Belgian city of Charleroi. His daughter suggests employing a 'white butterfly', as the residents in a nearby home for the mentally handicapped are known. Rosette is one of them: upbeat, loving and really just a bit 'odd', she yearns for normality. With her arrival, a new life begins for both of them.
C’est la rencontre de deux êtres en marge, de deux solitudes. Celle d’Henri, la cinquantaine, un homme éteint, résigné et un peu alcoolique. Et celle de Rosette, déficiente mentale légère qui rêve d’amour, de sexualité, de normalité...
