EN - A triumphant epic of survival in which heroine Liz is carved from the wilderness, full of heart and grit and hunted by a vengeful preacher - a diabolical zealot who is her twisted nemesis. But Liz is a genuine survivor; a woman of fearsome strength who responds with astonishing bravery to claim the better life she and her daughter deserve. Retribution is coming.

Home and King of the Belgians screen in Venice

King of the Belgians, the new film by Peter Brosens and Jessica Woodworth, and Fien Troch’s latest film Home were selected for the Venice International Film Festival (31 August-10 September) where they had their world premieres as part of the Orizzonti Competition. The Venice line-up also included several co-productions with Flanders.

HomeIt has been four years since a film from Flanders last made it to Venice: Brosens and Woodworth’s The Fifth Season was selected in 2012. With two films in competition this year, the Venice Film Festival added quite a touch of Flanders to its line-up.
