synopsis

Cinema Inch'Allah focuses on four Belgian-Moroccan filmmakers in their thirties, following the production process of their latest film. Since adolescence, and with incredible enthusiasm, they have managed to produce over 30 low-budget movies in which they have often played the main characters themselves. Their movies are not only the sum of their fears and desires, but also a way of projecting an image of themselves to their own community and the outside world. But a lot has changed since adolescence...
Le film raconte l’histoire de quatre amis qui grandissent en réalisant des films. Cinéma Inch’Allah dresse le portrait de quatre réalisateurs belgo-marocains d’une trentaine d’années tout en suivant le processus de production de leur dernier film. Depuis leur adolescence, ils se sont débrouillés avec un enthousiasme incroyable pour produire une trentaine de films à petit budget dans lesquels ils interprétaient souvent eux-mêmes les personnages principaux. Leurs films ne sont pas seulement le résumé de leur peurs et désirs, mais aussi une manière de projeter une image d’eux-mêmes à leur propre communauté et au monde extérieur. Mais les choses ont beaucoup changé depuis leur adolescence... Lorsque l’un d’entre eux décide de changer radicalement de vie, leur amitié et leurs objectifs communs en matière de cinéma sont menacés. Le groupe peut-il surmonter cette crise ou les membres ont-ils passé l’âge?
