EN - Sammy and Ray, turtles and friends forever, are enjoying an atoll's water and sand, shepherding new hatchlings Ricky and Ella out to sea. Suddenly, a poacher swoops and ships them off to be part of a spectacular aquarium show in Dubai. The kingpin of the place, Big D the seahorse, enlists them in his plans for a great escape. But, with their new friends Jimbo, the bug-eyed blob fish; Lulu, a snippy lobster; Anabel, the sweet Octopus; and a whole family of penguins, Sammy and Ray hatch breakout plans of their own. That is when little Ricky and Ella arrive, determined to break in and rescue them. After a series of thrilling adventures and narrow escapes, our heroes head south to meet up with Shelly, Sammy's first and only love.

Soudain, un braconnier les vole et les envoie à Dubaï pour qu’ils fassent partie d’un spectacle aquatique. Sur place, Big D l’hippocampe, le chef du groupe, en enrôle dans son gigantesque plan d’évasion. Mais avec leurs nouveaux amis Jimbo le poisson aux yeux globuleux, Lulu le homard vif, Anabel la pieuvre adorable, et toute une famille de pingouins, Sammy et Ray établissent leurs propres plans. Après une série de petites évasions et aventures excitantes, nos héros se dirigent vers le Sud où ils rencontrent Shelly, le premier et unique amour de Sammy. Sammy 2 est la suite de Le voyage extraordinaire de Sammy.

Production houses continue quality Animation

The Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF) confirmed support for eight animation projects in its recent subsidy round. The list might not be endless, the projects are promising with several new titles from production outfit Lunanime, known for their work on A Cat in Paris, and a big-budget sequel to Sammy’s Adventures by nWave.

Animation short Good NewsKris Mergan and Geert Vandenbroele, who created the creative animated short Good News, are to receive funding to start producing their next animated short Diamond. Production outfit Lunanime can also start on two of its projects: Bram Mondy’sRapsodie en rose and Rémi Vandenitte’s Betty Blues. Finally, Ben Stassen of nWave (Fly Me to the Moon) directs and produces the sequel to his animated b.o. hitSammy’s Adventures: the Secret Passage, titled Sammy 2.
