EN - One evening a middle-aged woman, Céline, asks her husband if he still remembers how they met which he doesn’t. He can’t even recognize himself anymore. Perhaps he is pretending not to remember anything? What game is he playing with her? It appears that she is unable to understand the man who is living with her. Dream and reality become intertwined until she believes another man in her house is playing games with her. In utter despair and anxiety she kills that man who has entered her house. The Strange Man is a poetic evocation of the process of alienation and the human anxiety for ‘Das unheimliche’.
