EN - Fatiha and Jessica, the greatest of friends, set off on a road trip through the deserts, mountains and cities of Morocco armed with urgent questions about Muslim sexuality that must be answered before Fatiha is married to an extremely traditional young man who was overwhelmed with shame the one time he dared kiss her hand… The Virgin Diaries explores virginity, how it is perceived, how it is lived and, most impressively, how it is recreated. The film culminates in the day after Fatiha's wedding. Central to the film is the intimacy between these two friends, their provocation of one another, their cultural misunderstandings and their shared sense of irony.
