synopsis

A couple spend their last hours at home stoically destroying the belongings of their infant daughter while she sleeps. Earlier that day in a government office, contracts were signed and tax benefits discussed. The final formality of the procedure will take place deep in a forest during the early hours of the morning where - together with a group of government officials - the couple will assist in a harrowingly absurd yet well-organised ritual.
Un couple passe les dernières heures à la maison en détruisant stoïquement toutes les affaires de leur petite fille pendant qu’elle dort. Plus tôt dans la même journée, dans un bureau du gouvernement, des contrats furent signés et des bénéfices fiscaux négociés. Les dernières formalités de la procédure auront lieu dans les profondeurs d’une forêt pendant les petites heures du matin. Le couple – avec un groupe de fonctionnaires du gouvernement – y assistera à un rituel tristement absurde, mais très bien organisé.
