synopsis

Following a court ruling, four-year-old Adam is hospitalised because of malnutrition. Lucy, the head nurse, allows Adam’s mother to stay past the court-mandated visiting hours. Complications ensue when the mother once again refuses to leave her son’s bedside. For the sake of the child, Lucy will do anything to help this mother in distress.
Suite à une décision de justice, Adam, 4 ans, souffrant de malnutrition a été placé à l'hôpital. Lucy, infirmière en cheffe pédiatrique, autorise Rebecca, la maman d'Adam, à rester près de son fils malgré un temps de visite strictement limité par la juge. Lorsque Rebecca s'entête et refuse de quitter Adam, les choses se compliquent. Dans l'intérêt de l'enfant, Lucy fera tout pour venir en aide à cette mère en détresse.
Na een beslissing van de rechtbank werd de vierjarige Adam, die aan ondervoeding lijdt, naar het ziekenhuis gebracht. Lucy, hoofdverpleegkundige pediatrie, geeft Rebecca, Adams moeder, toestemming om bij haar zoon te blijven, en dat terwijl de bezoektijd strikt beperkt werd door de rechter. Wanneer Rebecca koppig weigert Adam te verlaten, wordt de situatie gecompliceerd. In het belang van het kind, zal Lucy alles doen om deze moeder in nood te helpen.
