An intensely personal film on the universal topic of loss, pushing contemporary artist animation to its limits.

synopsis

To reconstruct his father's death, the director combines different imaging techniques, including photogrammetry, 3D animation, live-action footage, digital effects and screen capture. The resulting film exists at the ambiguous intersection of expanded animation, contemporary documentary and abstract film. It is accompanied by a haunting soundtrack composed by Ismaël Iken (aka Kiche).
Dans une reconstitution de la mort de son père, le réalisateur combine l'animation, l'action en direct et la photogrammétrie, entre autres techniques. Ce film intensément personnel aborde le thème universel de la perte d'une manière qui montre la puissance de l'animation d'artiste contemporaine et pousse le médium à ses limites.
In een reconstructie van de dood van zijn vader combineert de regisseur onder andere animatie, live action en fotogrammetrie. Deze intens persoonlijke film behandelt het universele onderwerp van verlies op een manier die de kracht van hedendaagse kunstenaarsanimatie laat zien en het medium tot het uiterste drijft.
