Franciscans wearing their brown habits skateboarding through the Bronx drug addicts starting a new life in the neighbourhood of Sao Paolo Flemish religious sisters in Mongolia the Don Bosco spirituality experienced in Cameroon these are just a few moments taken from the dozen documentaries that explore different dimensions of religious life across the globe. Traditional as well as new congregations from all over the world will be featured. The camera follows openly and without any judgement the main (religious) character. Through this person's quest for the personal meaning of life, he introduces his community and himself to the viewer. The basic question: What makes a contemporary person live in a religious community? Does belief have any specific goal in this high-tech postmodern society? Des franciscains dans leurs habits bruns faisant du skateboard à travers le Bronx, des toxicomanes commençant une nouvelle vie dans les alentours de Sao Paolo, des sœurs religieuses flamandes en Mongolie, la spiritualité de Don Bosco expérimentée au Cameroun… Ce sont là quelques passages extraits d’une douzaine de documentaires explorant les différentes dimensions de la vie religieuse à travers le monde. Les congrégations religieuses traditionnelles et nouvelles du monde entier y sont présentées. La camera suit librement et sans aucun jugement le personnage (religieux) principal. A travers cette recherche du sens de la vie, il se présente et présente sa communauté au spectateur. Les questions de base sont les suivantes : qu’est-ce qui pousse une personne contemporaine à vivre dans une communauté religieuse ? La croyance a-t-elle un but spécifique dans la société High-tech postmoderne ? Comment une personne peut-elle vivre sa propre croyance d’une manière authentique ?
