In war-torn Iraq, a football-mad boy dreams of becoming the next Lionel Messi.

synopsis

Iraq. Eleven-year-old Hamoudi lives for football and his dream of being as good as his football hero, Messi. One day, when he is unintentionally involved in an attack, he wakes up in hospital with only one leg. While his parents do everything to keep the family safe, Hamoudi fights to achieve his dream, in spite of everything.
Irak. Hamoudi (11 ans) vit pour le football et son rêve d'être un jour aussi bon que son héros de football Messi. Un jour, alors qu'il est involontairement impliqué dans une attaque, il se réveille à l'hôpital avec une seule jambe. Alors que ses parents font tout pour assurer la sécurité de la famille, Hamoudi se bat malgré tout pour réaliser son rêve.
Irak. Hamoudi (11) leeft voor het voetbal en zijn droom om ooit net zo goed te zijn als zijn held Messi. Wanneer hij op een dag ongewild betrokken raakt bij een aanslag, wordt hij wakker in het ziekenhuis met slechts één been. Terwijl zijn ouders er alles aan doen om het gezin in veiligheid te brengen, vecht Hamoudi om zijn droom ondanks alles te kunnen bereiken.
