Working mainly with the digital creation of images and visual landscapes, Anouk De Clercq explores the basic elements from which an image or a virtual space is built.

synopsis

Black is an example of a two-fold operation: it foregrounds 'black' as a core component of the visual and, by the same token, the film becomes a tribute to black, or rather to darkness - the instant in which the screen and the room fold into one indistinct and limitless space. It is an invitation to linger in it; to inhabit it in awareness. Literally in the dark, in the black, the spectators read in silence.
