Bonanza is a documentary portrait on the officially smallest town of Colorado: seven inhabitants, a city council and a mayor who lives 300km further away. Located at the Rocky Mountains, these seven inhabitants had dreamed of a life in solitude, but are confronted with their few neighbours: fights, gossips, murder and a lawsuit that puts the further existence of Bonanza at risk. Dogville, but non-fiction. This city potrait consists of a scale model of the city (7m by 3m) and five screens (a screen for each house). A draft of the model with screens is attached.
Bonanza est le portrait documentaire de la ville reconnue officiellement comme la plus petite du Colorado : sept habitants, un conseil municipal et un maire qui vit à 300km de là. Situés dans les montagnes rocheuses, ces sept habitants rêvaient d’une vie solitaire, mais se confrontent à leurs quelques voisins : combats, rumeurs, meurtres et procès mettent l’avenir de Bonanza en danger.
