Three generations of filmmakers tell a story about Brussels, three stories settled in the rue Saint Quentin, a forgotten street somewhere in the shadow of the European administration area.

synopsis

Three Brussels' stories set in an old neighbourhood that's being sacrificed to the ever expanding infrastructure of the European institutions. Ex-lovers Hannah and Jens see each other again and secretely wonder if the ashes of love are still smouldering. Louise discovers that the neighbourhood priest, just like she did, had a special relationship with her deceased Irish tenant. Cheb, a young Maroccan guy, lives in a squatted building. When he hears about the death of his mother, he begins to wonder: should he stay or leave?
Trois histoires bruxelloises situées dans le quartier européen où les habitants se font de plus en plus rares. Hannah et Jens, ex-amants, se revoient et se demandent secrètement si l’amour ne couve toujours pas sous les cendres. Louise découvre que le prêtre de la paroisse tout comme elle avait une relation particulière avec le locataire irlandais qui vient de décéder. Puis il y a Cheb, un jeune Marocain qui vit dans un squat. Quand il apprend la soudaine disparition de sa mère restée au pays il se prend à hésiter: rester ou partir ?
Drie Brusselse verhalen over de bewoners van een wijk die verpletterd dreigt te worden door de kantoorkolossen van de Europese instellingen. De ex-minnaars Hannah en Jens zien mekaar terug en voelen het vuur van de oude liefde nog nasmeulen. Louise ontdekt dat de buurtpriester net als zij een heel aparte band had met haar overleden Ierse huurder. En Cheb, een jonge Marokkaan die in een kraakpand woont, gaat na de dood van zijn moeder twijfelen: blijven of vertrekken?
