synopsis

Ivan, a Belgian journalist on a sabbatical in Mexico, starts following leads to a mysterious writer called Celestino Pérez. Arriving in the village where he lives, Celestino turns out to be absent. Ivan is taken in by the writer's eccentric family and soon finds himself trapped in their home. Ivan starts matching his own experience with what he imagines to be the experience of Celestino.
Ivan, un journaliste belge en congé sabbatique au Mexique, se lance sur les traces d'un mystérieux écrivain, Celestino Pérez. Arrivé dans le village où il vit, Celestino s'avère absent. Ivan est recueilli par la famille excentrique de l'écrivain et se retrouve bientôt piégé dans leur maison. Ivan commence à mettre en miroir sa propre expérience avec ce qu'il imagine être celle de Celestino.
Ivan, een Belgische journalist op sabbatical in Mexico, volgt het spoor van een mysterieuze schrijver Celestino Pérez. Aangekomen in het dorp waar hij woont, blijkt Celestino afwezig te zijn. Ivan wordt opgenomen door de excentrieke familie van de schrijver en zit al snel gevangen in hun huis. Ivan begint zijn eigen ervaringen te spiegelen aan wat hij zich inbeeldt als de ervaringen van Celestino.
