Cher ami is an animated film with live music from the band Yuko. Three animators, Ivan Adriaenssens, Roman Klochkov and Gustavo Garcia, worked with the true stories of some remarkable animals that fought in Belgium during the First World War - as for many, a war they didn't chose.
Drie tekenaars (Ivan Adriaenssens, Roman Klochkov en Gustavo Garcia) en de band Yuko lieten zich inspireren door waargebeurde verhalen van enkele opmerkelijke dieren (een hond, een olifant en een aap) die in West-Vlaanderen aan het front vochten tijdens de eerste wereldoorlog tot het maken van drie animatiefilms met live muziek. Een gepaste ode na 100 jaar vergetelheid.
