After more than thirty years of silence, Aline and David meet again in a café by the sea, where their shared past slowly resurfaces.

After more than thirty years, Aline and David see each other again in a café by the sea. The conversation begins tentatively. Aline shows genuine interest and smiles as she probes into David's life; David remains distant.

In silences, glances and small gestures, memories and loss creep in. As if what was washed away is reappearing. David reads from his book, Aline responds by dancing to music from the jukebox. Both seek the courage to face what they have pushed away for so long.
Na meer dan dertig jaar zien Aline en David elkaar terug in een café aan zee. Het gesprek begint aftastend. Aline toont oprechte interesse en glimlacht terwijl ze peilt naar Davids leven; David blijft op afstand.

In stiltes, blikken en kleine gebaren sijpelen herinneringen en verlies binnen. Alsof wat werd weggespoeld zich opnieuw aandient. David leest voor uit zijn boek, Aline antwoordt door te dansen op muziek uit de jukebox. Beiden zoeken ze de moed om onder ogen te zien wat ze zo lang hebben weggeduwd.
