During a ferry crossing from Morocco to Spain, three storylines intertwine, linked to the characters’ fear of loss and love.

synopsis

Iris, Walter and their two sons, take the ferry home after a holiday in Morocco. As they approach Spain, their marital secrets catch up with them, producing a moment of passion at exactly the moment their eldest son, Peter, disappears. Meanwhile, the ferry captain is smuggling his pregnant daughter to Spain, unable to live with the shame of a bastard child. But his daughter has other plans. Finally, an ambulance crew in the Spanish port finds the body of a young man. As the ferry docks in Spain, the three sets of characters come face to face with the consequences of their actions.
Crossing est un drame réaliste et pénétrant qui met à nu des sentiments universels de la peur, de l'espoir et de la perte pendant une traversée tendue et dramatique de deux heures entre le Maroc et l'Espagne.
In Crossing kruisen de verhaallijnen van een Nederlands gezin, de Marokkaanse kapitein en twee Spaanse kustwachtmedewerkers elkaar, allen verbonden door liefde en angst voor verlies. Het Nederlands gezin kent al wat stress, maar wanneer het zoontje van 8 verdwijnt barst de bom.
