synopsis

Diamond explores the true nature of the world around us. The fact that each individual has their own perception of reality requires us to examine the lenses through which we look at our environment; to open the cultural windows and let the light come in unobstructed.
Le garçonnet Ketje passe ses vacances au village de sa tante Virginie. Herman, le pharmacien local, est à la recherche du Diamant des oiseaux. Ketje l'accompagne dans sa quête, mais il a plus d'intérêt dans une espèce de lépidoptère laid.
Met Diamant zoeken we naar de ware aard van de wereld buiten ons. De vaststelling dat elk individu een eigen perceptie heeft van de werkelijkheid, en er toch maar één is, noopt ons de bril te onderzoeken waarmee we onze omgeving bekijken.Een hoop windels rond een vergeten ongedwongenheid.Deze film nodigt haar publiek uit de culturele glasramen open te werpen zodat het licht weer onbelemmerd naar binnen schijnt.Alles lijkt erop dat hoe dieper we in het kleine kijken, hoe dieper we het grote zien.
