A young immigrant’s life comes crashing down when he gets a distressing phone call from his home country.

synopsis

Bogdan is a Romanian immigrant who, with the help of his older cousin Ovi, gets a job in a restaurant in Belgium. This allows him to provide some financial stability for his girlfriend and new-born child, who still live in Romania. But then he gets a phone call from home with awful news, and chaos erupts into Bogdan's life. Worse still, he risks losing his job, casting a shadow of uncertainty over his family's future.
Bogdan is een Roemeense immigrant die met de hulp van zijn oudere neef Ovi in een restaurant in België werkt, zodat hij zijn pasgeboren baby en vriendin, die nog in in Roemenië wonen, financieel kan ondersteunen. Op een dag wordt hij op zijn werk gebeld door een nummer uit Roemenië met verschrikkelijk nieuws. Door dit telefoongesprek ontstaat er chaos in Bogdans leven.
