synopsis

Planet Earth, a timeless future. As a child, Drifter dreamt of becoming an astronaut and now, as an adult, it seems he has made his dream come true. Every day, he shuttles back and forth between earth and space to carry out his daily tasks. One day disaster strikes. Drifter becomes detached from his station and is launched into deep space. Kept alive by a mysterious green liquid, Drifter embarks on an endless drift through the universe. At first, he is petrified. The universe is vast and overwhelming. But gradually, Drifter resigns himself to his fate. Far away from his daily routine, his view of everything, and of himself, changes.
De aarde, een tijdloze toekomst. Als kind droomde Drifter ervan astronaut te worden en nu, als volwassene, lijkt het erop dat hij zijn droom heeft waargemaakt. Elke dag pendelt hij tussen de aarde en de ruimte om zijn dagelijkse taken uit te voeren. Op een dag slaat het noodlot toe. Drifter raakt los van zijn station en wordt gelanceerd in de diepe ruimte. In leven gehouden door een mysterieuze groene vloeistof, een vruchtwater voor rampen in de diepe ruimte, begint Drifter aan een eindeloze tocht door het heelal. Het heelal is enorm en overweldigend. Maar geleidelijk legt Drifter zich bij zijn lot neer. Ver weg van zijn dagelijkse routine, verandert zijn blik op alles en zichzelf.
