synopsis

In the days before the start of the Rwandan genocide, ten-year-old Jeanne, a daredevil girl, is searching for her pet goat. On her quest, she is exposed to the new realities of ethnic discrimination. What she hears and sees plants the seeds of doubt about her best friend, and the world as she knows it.
In de dagen voor het begin van de genocide in Rwanda is de tienjarige Jeanne, een dapper meisje, op zoek naar haar geitje. Tijdens haar zoektocht wordt ze geconfronteerd met de nieuwe realiteit van etnische discriminatie. Wat ze hoort en ziet, zaait twijfel over haar beste vriend en de wereld zoals ze die kent.
