synopsis

Extras? Who are they? Where do they come from and what exactly are they doing? But most of all: what are they NOT supposed to do? Background actors are often underestimated: a movie or a television series can't simply be produced without them. ExtraZ explores the 'do's and don't's' of background acting, embedded in the sensation, emotion and humour of life on the set.
Figuranten? Wie zijn ze? Waar komen ze vandaan en wat doen ze? Maar vooral: wat mogen ze NIET doen? Figuranten worden soms erg onderschat. Je kan geen film of tv-serie maken zonder. Natuurlijk is het niet allemaal rozengeur en maneschijn, want soms – hoe prachtig de acteerprestaties van de acteurs ook mogen zijn - kan één figurant de hele scène in de war sturen. ExtraZ is een soort van ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ van figuratie, gegoten in de sensatie, emotie en humor van het leven op een set.
