synopsis

When timid Frank Van Dam, a fraud examiner for a big insurance company, is confronted with the unfairness of the system and a streak of bad luck, all his principles are challenged. Partly for revenge, partly out of financial necessity, he makes the drastic decision to cross over to ‘the other side'. With the help of charming conman Chris, his complete opposite, they commit a series of ingenious scams. But blinded by money, ambition and a lavish lifestyle, they start taking risks: what started small goes completely off the rails.
Wanneer de timide Frank Van Dam, een fraude-onderzoeker voor een grote verzekeringsmaatschappij, geconfronteerd wordt met de oneerlijkheid van het systeem en een golf van pech, worden al zijn principes op de proef gesteld. Deels uit wraak, deels uit financiële noodzaak, neemt hij de drastische beslissing om over te stappen naar 'de andere kant'. Met de hulp van de charmante oplichter Chris, zijn complete tegenpool, plegen ze een reeks ingenieuze zwendelpraktijken. Maar verblind door geld, ambitie en een uitbundige levensstijl beginnen ze risico's te nemen: wat klein begon, ontspoort volledig.
