Palermo 1624. While in quarantine due to the plague, 94-year-old master painter Sofonisba Anguissola, an artist of world renown at the time but later consigned to obscurity, writes her final letters to her pupil, the Flemish master-in-the-making Anton Van Dyck.
Palermo, 1624. Terwijl ze in quarantaine zit vanwege de pest, schrijft de 94-jarige meester-schilderes Sofonisba Anguissola, destijds een wereldberoemde kunstenares maar later in de vergetelheid geraakt, haar laatste brieven aan haar leerling en Vlaamse Meester in wording Anton Van Dyck.
