During a painful divorce, ER doctor Kristin returns to the tiny fishing village where her parents live, taking her teenage daughter with her. Having to live with her psychic mother soon pushes the pragmatic Kristin far out of her comfort zone, forcing her to face the ghosts of the past.
Tijdens een pijnlijke scheiding trekt spoedarts Kristin met haar tienerdochter weer in bij haar ouders in een piepklein vissersdorpje. De realistische en pragmatische Kristin bevindt zich al snel ver buiten haar comfortzone terwijl ze omgaat met haar helderziende moeder, die haar dwingt de geesten uit haar verleden onder ogen te zien.
