synopsis

Fragments of Gabi consists of a series of glimpses from the life of a Romanian mother. The film follows her for two days as she tries to free herself from her surroundings.
Le film nous plonge 36 heures dans la vie insignifiante de Gabi au travers d'un enchaînement d'épisodes. A 32 ans, cette mère Roumaine est entraînée à la dérive par un paysage urbain déraciné. Au fil et à mesure que l'intrigue se dévoile, nous comprendrons que Gabi mène une révolution silencieuse; tentant de s'émanciper de son entourage déconnecté. Le film aborde le manque de communication ainsi que l'incapacité des personnages à s'exprimer réellement.
De film wordt verteld aan de hand van fragmenten; ‘vignetten’ uit het leven van Gabi, een Roemeense moeder die zichzelf probeert te bevrijden uit de ontspoorde omgeving waarin ze leeft.
