Framing and Unframing follows a young fellow, William, living in a rural Irish fishing village in 1891. When we are younger, it is often the case that our sensitivities are found entirely different to those that surround us. This film tries to look at how those sensitivities might change, or with what temper they might resist change.

synopsis

Framing and Unframing follows a young fellow, William, living in a rural Irish fishing village in 1891. When we are younger, it is often the case that our sensitivities are found entirely different to those that surround us. This film tries to look at how those sensitivities might change, or with what temper they might resist change. The forces that circle a youth maturing are not, necessarily 'good' or 'bad'. They are life, and part of growing up is learning somehow to meet them: somehow to affirm one's own identity through and with the very forces that appear to threaten it. This film tries to represent just one of the stages that a youth may go through in learning to do so.
