synopsis

From the moment I left the seashore where I landed the evening before, I felt a first change. I was more serious, that is heavier, more sad, to have completely accepted and mesured this loneliness, wich would be my destiny, maybe for a long time... The idea itself of being deprived definitly of the look of others and of never being able to interest somebody, alone on this island, ignored by the maps, condamned me in fact to lifetime penal colony. Based on the novel by Michel Tournier
Dès le moment où j’ai quitté la plage sur laquelle j’avais atterri le soir avant, j’ai senti un premier changement. J’étais plus sérieux, plus triste d’avoir complètement accepté et pris conscience de cette solitude qui serait ma destinée, peut-être pour longtemps… L’idée même d’être définitivement privé du regard des autres et de ne plus être capable d’intéresser quelqu’un, seul sur cette île, ignoré sur les cartes, me condamnait à une colonie pénitentiaire jusqu’au restant de mes jours.
