After a long day at work, 58-year-old Khadija falls asleep on the last subway train. When she wakes up at the end of the line, she has no choice but to make her way home on foot. On her nocturnal journey she finds herself compelled to ask for and give help to the other inhabitants of the night.
Après une longue journée de travail, Khadija (58 ans) s’endort dans le dernier métro. Elle se réveille au terminus, à l’autre bout de la ville, et doit rentrer chez elle à pied. Cette traversée nocturne l’oblige à demander de l’aide, et à en donner, à celles et ceux qui comme elle, traversent la nuit.
De achtenvijftigjarige Khadija valt na een lange werkdag ‘s avonds laat in slaap op de metro. Wanneer ze wakker wordt aan de eindhalte, heeft ze geen andere keuze dan de tocht naar huis te voet verder te zetten. Deze nachtelijke tocht dwingt haar om hulp te vragen en te geven aan de andere bewoners van de nacht.
