synopsis

After another Elvis act, Lion Angel has had enough and takes a radical decision. He steals a fire engine and locks himself up with the Virgin Mary, the only one who seems to understand him. A suspicious church fire brings them to the hollow centre of the earth where they must start searching for the exit...
La lumière détermine-t-elle qui vous êtes ? Ou avons nous en réalité besoin du noir pour nous voir ? En d’autres termes, que pouvons-nous faire sans ? Et plus important... que reste-t-il en réalité ? Après un nouvel acte d’Elvis, Lion Angel en a assez et prend une décision radicale. Il vole un véhicule en feu et s’enferme avec la Vierge Marie, la seule qui semble le comprendre. Une chapelle en feu suspecte les entraîne au centre de la terre. Libéré de leur personnage, Lion et Mary commencent à chercher la sortie, ce qui très vite impliquera qu’ils doivent laisser beaucoup plus derrière eux...
Bepaalt het licht wie of wat wij zijn? Of hebben we juist dat donker nodig om onszelf te zien? Met andere woorden, wat kan er allemaal weg? En vooral... wàt blijft er eigenlijk over? Na de zoveelste Elvis-act heeft Lion Angel er genoeg van en neemt een radicaal besluit. Hij steelt een brandweerwagen en sluit zichzelf op bij de Maagd Maria, de enige die hem begrijpt. Een verdachte kapel-brand brengt hen in het holle binnenste van de aarde. Bevrijd van hun personage beginnen Leon en Maria aan hun zoektocht naar de uitgang, wat snel uitdraait op het achterlaten van meer dan wat ballast...
