On May 29th 1985 the Heyzel football stadium in Brussels was the setting of a terrible nightmare. 39 people were killed in riots that took place prior to the UEFA cup final between Liverpool and Juventus. Still the match was played and broadcast live. We investigate what happened, how it could happen, and who took the decisions.

Still the match was played and broadcast live. We investigate what happened, how it could happen, and who took the decisions. We also ask the viewer: what would you have done had you been there?
Le 29 mai 1985 s’est produit un tragique événement dans le stade de foot du Heyzel en Belgique. 39 personnes ont été tuées lors d’émeutes qui ont eu lieu avant la coupe finald de UEFA entre Liverpool et la Juventus. Pourtant, le match a quand même été joué et retransmis en direct. Nous entreprenons des recherches sur ce qu’il s’est passé, comment cela a pu se produire, et qui a pris cette décision. Nous interrogeons aussi le spectateur : qu’auriez-vous fait si vous aviez été sur place ?
