A sensory portrait of a father and his family, displaced into the anonymity of a hotel. In his quiet attempts to rebuild a sense of home, routine becomes a fragile act of resistance.

synopsis

Housekeeper tells the story of a family of three - Hector (38), Anna (39) and Luna (10) - who are forced to stay in a hotel. What was initially supposed to be a short, temporary stay slowly becomes a new reality. For Hector, a father clinging to his role as protector of the family, living in this temporary space means a loss of his sense of control and self-worth. In an attempt to get a grip on the situation, he transforms the anonymous hotel room step by step into a home: furniture is rearranged, cooking, eating and cleaning are done in the room. But the hotel, designed for short stays, seems to resist these attempts.
