In How to Meet a Mermaid doorbreekt de zee haar stilzwijgen en openbaart zij de verhalen van Lex, Rebecca en Miguel. De drie hoofdpersonages hebben ieder hun eigen reden om het water als hun laatste toevluchtsoord zien.
